The New Edinburgh Studio (Ottawa)
81 John Street, New Edinburgh Community, Ottawa

This studio is located in the community of New Edinburgh in Ottawa where the artist lives. It is five minutes away from the Gordon Harrison Gallery.

The studio has been the "home" of the artist since 2002. It is where the artist puts his passion onto canvas. It is also where the artist shares his techniques and coaches people who wish to learn how to paint or get coaching tips.

The studio is a heritage building built in 1898 which originally served as the gardener's cottage for the original owner, Alexander Lumsden, a log contractor. It is representative of the architecture in New Edinburgh community.

Each year, a Spring vernissage is held at the artist's studio. The vernissage is a special happening in the New Edinburgh community held on the first weekend in June each year. The event is much enjoyed by art collectors, our clients and the public. The art finds a new home for a few days in the gardens surrounding the studio as one follows the artist's recent travels through his at and enjoys a glass of wine, appetizers and live music from local talented musicians.

In 2009, the city of Ottawa included the Gordon Harrison Seventh Annual Garden Exhibit on the program for Doors Open Ottawa 2009 which contributes to the heritage and culture of the National Capital Region.

Please leave us your contact information to receive an invitation to art events featuring Gordon Harrison’s Canadian landscape exhibits including the Gordon Harrison Eighth Annual Garden Exhibit at his studio.

Pine Point Lakehouse (Laurentians)
90, chemin du lac Violon, Ste-Marguerite-du-Lac-Masson, Laurentians, Québec

Gordon finds great inspiration in the Laurentian landscapes that have surrounded him at a very early age. In 1902, Gordon’s great grandfather who was an entrepreneur exchanged a piano for land. Four generations later, the family continues to enjoy quiet and relaxing times on the lake. The Laurentians bring to Gordon Harrison the inspiration to create collections of new work from his recent travels across Canada.

Visit the artist at Pine Point Lakehouse located on Lac des Iles, twenty minutes from Saint-Sauveur-des-Monts.
